novel study

last week we did a novel study. we had to read a novel then answer a bunch of questions about comprehension, analysis, knowledge, synthesis and evaluation. that would be worth a certain amount of points ranging from 1 points for easy questions and up to 5 points for hard questions. you had to get a total of 40 points.
I chose Virals by Kathy reichs.

we had to learn how to sing the whole ning nang nong poem for oral language. it goes like this.

On the Ning Nang Nong 

Where the Cows go Bong! 

and the monkeys all say BOO!

Where the trees go Ping! 

And the tea pots jibber jabber joo.

today we did a financial game where we went on holiday and had to save and make sure we have enough money to pay for the credit card, enough to pay for insurance, passport and enough to have fun

how to write a quality comment

how to write a good comment:

1.complement the writer make sure the complement 

is about something relevant.

2.proof read what you've writen

3.add new info eg. if you have seen or read about the blog 

you can tell them something new

4. make sure everything you write is relevant.

my amazing science project

me and my class have been doing chemistry.

we have been learning about atoms, molecules, and chemical reactions.

at maths we have been classifying angles and using compasses
to make different patterns and measuring the center of different shapes.

matariki

last week we did some matariki digital challenges one of them is the matariki escape room where there are 2 number locks, a word lock, a direction lock and colour lock and you have to find the clues to unlock them

strength explorer

for strength explorer i got relating, organizer, competeing

Competing is a good strength because if i do something I normally try to make it better than before and compete with myself and others. My weakness is that I can sometimes be a little hard on myself if I don't get it right or beat my high score.


Organizer is a good skill because if i become a chef I could organize everything and make sure everything is tidy.

the pool

yesterday i went to the pool with Aogan.

me and Aogan were going to go fishing but the swell was way to high so we decided to go to the pool Aogan bought his basketball

we went in the small pool but it was lowered even more because 

there was swimming practise. then we went into the lane pool and got a huge floaty and did dunks into it with the basket ball.

reflection

yesterday we did math and I think I need to work on adding up 
the volume a bit more and multiplying decimals and more complex problems

reflection of rotations this morning

 I enjoyed working in rotations because we got to pick who we work with and we get to to more than just one thing for the whole time.

tech

last week at tech we designed key tags on tinkercad.
this week the teacher 3d printed them and we got them 
i just did my name but some people made mini snowboards
and lots of other things.

what we have learnt

for the last few weeks we have been learning to get creative with 
abstract faces and vases and we have been improving our describing skills by describing different characters.

today at technology i did digitech. at digitech we programmed robots to go fast towards a wall and stop right before hitting it then they have to reverse slowly then repeat it 4 times.

 me and lucas have been doing origami we have been making paper planes, ninja stars, flowers, nun-chucks and fortune tellers we are trying to get the best folds possible

this term i have been doing origami for my milos 
with Lucas i am trying to get perfect folds and lines on most origami me and Lucas do.
so far i have done a fortune teller, two different 
paper planes, ninja star, nun chucks and some flowers. ive gotten pretty good at folding paper. i am aiming to get perfect folds by the end of the term.
